General Guidelines
ā Use towels on benches to protect the wood and absorb moisture during use
ā Cedar naturally shrinks and expands with humidity ā this is normal and expected
ā Tighten the stainless-steel bands within the first month using a Ā¾" wrench, then check periodically ā the goal is for the cedar to expand into the bands and tighten the staves
ā Keep air inlet and outlet vents unobstructed at all times for proper airflow
ā The exterior can be stained with any product recommended by your local retailer ā Leisurecraft recommends and stocks Livos stain products
ā The interior is typically left natural and unfinished ā to enhance and protect the wood, apply Meldos Sauna Oil by Livos (available from Leisurecraft) to bring out the cedarās natural colour and grain
After Each Use
ā Ventilate: Open the door after each session to allow fresh air circulation and reduce moisture buildup
ā Wipe surfaces: Use a clean, dry towel to remove moisture from benches, backrests, and all wooden surfaces
ā Rinse with cold water: Helps close the pores of the wood and promotes faster drying
