General Guidelines

✓ Use towels on benches to protect the wood and absorb moisture during use
✓ Cedar naturally shrinks and expands with humidity — this is normal and expected
✓ Tighten the stainless-steel bands within the first month using a ¾" wrench, then check periodically — the goal is for the cedar to expand into the bands and tighten the staves
✓ Keep air inlet and outlet vents unobstructed at all times for proper airflow
✓ The exterior can be stained with any product recommended by your local retailer — Leisurecraft recommends and stocks Livos stain products
✓ The interior is typically left natural and unfinished — to enhance and protect the wood, apply Meldos Sauna Oil by Livos (available from Leisurecraft) to bring out the cedar’s natural colour and grain
